It’s not until we see a need that we begin to think about how we can help others. Imagine going a little farther than ‘giving’ to others and think about what strength it would take in ‘sharing’ with others.
So, what’s the difference, you ask? Well, when you share, you give a part of what you have. Sharing is giving that which is yours so that others may have what you want or need.
We realize that along with helping others we must also help ourselves. Oftentimes, people give but it becomes more meaningful when you share some of what you have knowing that you also are in need. This is such a selfless act that brings to surface empathy.
