Welcome! During the month of August, Walmart shared a commercial that begins with people from all walks of life, young and old, from different neighborhoods and of different ethnicity. Each carrying a different chair from their home, their neighborhood, their business, on a motorcycle, a skateboard, down the street, across a rocky beach, over a bridge, across farmlands, through woods, and between pastures.
Where are they going and why are they each carrying a different, unique chair? As the commercial continues, you realize that who they are is not as important as where they’re going.
They’re going to all meet at “one table with [their] many chairs” to share a feast, together, with each other.
As the individuals come together with their unique chairs, they are no longer individuals, but one group of the same.
The tune in the background, by “The Young-bloods” shares the importance of loving each other, because we each “hold the key to love and fear.”
Think about this commercial when you find these rocks.
Respond with a comment about how you feel individuals can come together as one group of the same as Walmart does in this commercial.
When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others. ~Peace Pilgrim
