To be quite honest, I’m not a blogger, but I decided to create this blog so that I could share some of the curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies and techniques I’ve used in the classroom. I hope that some of the topics you read about and resources you view can be used in your classroom or at home. Please leave a comment or suggestion concerning the topics on this sight or to begin a conversation about a topic you’d like to mention.
Happy Learning! Happy Teaching! Happy Learning!
I enjoy teaching/facilitating in the classroom settings and I enjoy sharing of information/collaborating in professional development meetings. This educational spectrum inspired me to come up with the logo above. I enjoy learning and teaching. My goal as an educator is to reach the potential in ALL students and to assist them in becoming life-long, productive individuals.
About Me…
I’m currently teaching middle school (grades 6-8) English Language Arts to the general and exceptional student population. My classes are very diverse and include students with a variety of learning abilities. This directs me to differentiate for students through content, the process of instruction, and product assessment. I have taught in the elementary, middle, and high school settings for over 20 years. My credentials include a B.S. Exceptional Student Education; B.S. in Business; M.S. Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; Certified to teach Elementary Education, Middle Grades English 6-8, and English 9-12. Endorsements include Reading and English Language Learner (ELL).
